A family story of beloved lands and flavors that transcend time.

A Journey Across Oceans
In 1909, my great-grandfather left Vinco, a picturesque village hidden in the hinterlands of Reggio Calabria, to embark on an epic adventure. With hopes and dreams in his heart, he boarded a ship bound for Ellis Island, the gateway to America. His arrival in the United States marked the beginning of a new life: he worked tenaciously as a lumberjack until 1918, immersed in pristine and wild nature.
The Birth of a Legacy
Upon his return to Calabria, driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, he purchased fertile lands and planted olive trees, laying the foundations of a family legacy. These olive trees were later nurtured and expanded by my grandfather, who, with the same passion and dedication, acquired and planted even more.
Guardians of a Green Treasure
Today, my family and I jealously guard this green treasure, caring for our trees with love and dedication, and producing extra virgin olive oil that encapsulates the history and flavors of our land.
Bridging Two Worlds
In 2003, a holiday trip took me to Alassio, a place that enchanted me at first sight. Here, the verdant hills embracing the bay are dotted with ancient olive trees, and the Mediterranean scrub captivates with its shades of green and intoxicating aromas. I fell in love with the terraces overlooking the sea, the oil with its yellow-green color, the scent of ripe fruit, and the rich and complex flavor—sweet yet with bitter and spicy notes. It was then that I decided to bring to Alassio the heritage and wisdom passed down from my grandfather and father.
In 2014, exactly a century after my great-grandfather’s journey, I made the decision to move to America. My goal was to blend two worlds through the unique flavor of our oil, creating a bridge between my homeland and the land that welcomed my great-grandfather. Thus, “Adelasia” was born—a tribute to our past, present, and future, uniting two cultures through the taste and tradition of Calabrian olive oil.
